after dinner, 3 of us didn't feel like going home yet.. oh acutally sulin, liying and wan yun also didn't go home la.. but that's besides the point. ahah..

so as we strolled around, we went into shops selling all the cute stuff. like precious thots, happy house, nici......and MINI TOONS!

the 1st thing that caught my attention was the over the hedge toys! omg! so cute la!!!

then i saw vernie the turtle! it looked so cao lao!!!
just like cao lao above!!! wahahaha!!!
immediately showed her her lookalike and from there began our photo streak. haha!

then took venus with Hammy the spastic hyper crazy little (well not so little in the pic) squirrel.
oh and look how similar the toothy grin looks!!!
well, spastic person do go with spastic creature~ hahaha~!!

mine's just a randomly chosen porcupine.
it looked quite cute on 1st glance so i took a pic with it.. haha

oooh.. and because of this, i made the other 2 watch over the hedge with me..
actually everyone was ok with a movie. but as the other choices weren't suitable since we'd be watching da vinci code with other friends, and venus watching possidon with her friend too.. and the timings of these other shows were off... so that left us with over the hedge!!

after the movie, we again went to mini toons to take another look at the animals.
we then decided to go for another round of photo taking with our various character.
it was really spastic i must say.

we were quite afraid that the shop attendant may scold or something.
trying all angles, blocking the camera, trying to face the other side, pretend to be just innocently playing with the toys.... but i think it was bloody obvious la..
so actually maybe we weren't NOT allowed to do so probably??

either that, or the shop attendants were being nice and close one eye, or they just couldn't be bothered to care about 3 spastic old kids.
haha!

[LasT rouND of QuArteRs]

yesterday, we beat AJC.
it wasn't exactly a sweet victory, but we became very high towards the end.
we cheered the VeeJay VeeJay Ceeeeee, VJ boleh, and a private self Soh-SaSaSaSa-Soh with yy. =) haha

i apologise if i played lousily, but truely thank the supporters for all their encouragement and support and my fellow mates and teachers.

on the other challenging side, TJ played RJ. the overall score was 2-3. very close and tough fight. everything for the girls went more or less normally. not for the guys unfortunately. TJ guys. all the guys team played for pretty long. i was already outside waiting.

TJ finally exited the hall. the atmosphere was weird. i went to look for Mabu. "you don't know?something happened."

we learnt from yt that their teacher-in-charge had made a serious error by ticking the wrong name under the 3rd singles column. zachery? was suppose to play. it was not until the very last moment when the 3rd singles was about to begin that this error was discoverd. the list stated that it was some ip playing. and the poor guy had to play the singles without warning and warm up.

"the teacher is crying." i turned, and saw a small woman sitting on the bench infront of all the students weeping painfully away. sigh, it had to be the guilt and responsibility. it was a sad sight.
wasted. really wasted. if not, TJ guys would have gotten into semis.

i probably shouldn't be poking my nose into other people's business, much less other schools'. maybe it is because it's a badminton thing?
or maybe it is because half of my family is there, and therefore i feel for them too.....
well, if this happened to our guys, i'd probably be stung too. hmm, but we have only 8 men in the team, so it's like everyone needs to play. -_-"

oh, anyway, i'm really glad that the seniors came back! kexin, venus, diana and XQ ! ThaNKs! it was nice seeing all of you again, and even nicer for you all to be part of the team once again and cheer alongside. my only problem - your butts were superglued to the bench! brrrr.. haha

brrrrrrrrrrrrrr............. i was watching meng ping tu half way when all of a sudden something BIG flew in through the squares of my gate and landed with a LOUD thud rite in front of the tele..

i tot it was the usual big moth or dragon fly... i cautiously went to check it out and realised that it was a grAsshoPPER!!!! well.. bUT IT WAS FREAKING BIG... was it a cricket maybe? or a praying mantis?? ahha.. k the last's one out la..

so my SMART dad went to get the papers.. at 1st i tot he wanted to smack it dead.. den i was like screaming no dun kill it!!!

but what my dad did was like try to brush it out.. how can u do that to the grasshopper la!!?!? it can jump wan leh!!
and jump like SUPER DUPER HIGH!!?!?!
oh... and fly too?? hmm.. i dunno whether it jumped or flew la..
but when dad tried to sweep it, it did either one of those things and both of us got a shock!!! brrrr... frightening!!!
he couldnt see where it went to.. so he went away...

being the BRAVE me... i went to see if i could find it..
*SHOCKED*
it was rite under my nose!!!!

there.. take a close up look at it.. and u noe how close i had to go to take this pic???? without zoom?!?! like only a few centimeters okaY!!!!
well but it was mum who took it la.. i scared it jump on me or sth...

yea and so mum caught it in a plastic bag.. i told her not to release it 1st cuz i wanted to take pic of it!!! so interesting!! when would one get a chance to look at a live grasshoppie close up???
erm.. i did la.. but dun dare mah.. so we had it transferred into a transparent container.. for science sake ok...

erm.. the 3 bottles of brands essence of chicken was put there by me.. i was afraid it would jump out.. i think it's strong enough too ok..

yea and so i took quite a few pics.. mostly are blur..
oh and if u notice carefully.. (my mum noticed it was it was crawling pitifully around, trying to find a way out..) it's right fore leg is half amputated.. NOT BY ME HOR...
den my mum went to check the plastic bag to see if there was a part of a feet inside.. nope..

actually i still feel quite disgusted by it la.. iHATE insects man..

after that we played the marble game..

our guys lost to CJC today..
damn.. yan long's wan was a really close fight...
as much as he fought really hard and fired up..
the tall and lean CJ guy won the last point with a FREAK shot with the shuttle toppling over the net rite at the very last moment!!!

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
u could hear us scream in pAin..
poor yan long.. cried..
arGh.. more pain..
the cj guy was really sporting.. despite the many bad nets he made... he juz played his stuff.. and actually won...
he walked over to the on the verge of breaking down yl and patted him..
he gave a slight hug and raised his hand to thank him for the great game...
but yl....
sigh..
yl.. he juz shook him off and refused to shake hands!!!
well.. i really admire yl's on court fighting spirit..
but sometimes he's too drama mama.. and ...
.. of the simplest things of being a sportsman - sportsmanship.. he doesnt have it!
=( sadly...

anw as rachel said.. new found respect for CJ...

not only the guy.. but the team as a whole..
they agreed to allow the 2nd doubles to play if tt is our players were fit enough to..
well..
not...

sigh.. this was wad happened.. i shall juz briefly run through the very sad and painful event..
weiyang and junjie were both very prepared and ready for their match - 2nd doubles..
they were doing quite well actually..
and then all of a sudden.. wy stretched out to reach for a far shot and ended up tearing his hemstring from the top all the way to the bottom..

we searched ard for spray.. but we din have any!! a kind hearted MI soul offered his..
thank you..
but tearing a muscle is no laughing matter and of cuz no matter how much u spray.. the pain wont go away..
they had to pull out of the game..
a walkover u mite call it..
and we carried on with kelvin playing 3rd singles.. though the outcome was already known..
still cj was really sporting and continued to play...

hope the guys recover from this saddening day.. both mentally and physically..
